With outstanding community performance in the field of art and culture, 16 female leaders win the award
In its second year of realization, the Inspired Award, the Neoenergia Institute in technical partnership with Baluarte Cultura, announced on Thursday (8/12), the 16 women winners of 2022. The initiative aims to value female leaders who, through art and culture, drive social transformation in their communities in the Federal District and five other states - Bahia, Mato Grosso do Sul, Pernambuco, Rio de Janeiro, Rio Grande do Norte and São Paulo.
" We are committed to acting in an innovative way to stimulate women's empowerment. That's the energy that moves us. Art and culture are tools for development and social inclusion. We understand that we are on the right track, in search of a more egalitarian world. The award is very important for women who work in so many different realities to be able to put into practice projects with a strong positive impact in their localities", says Renata Chagas, director of the Neoenergia Institute.
The winners will share the prize pool of R$ 140,000. In all, 164 women from 60 municipalities competed this year. The event, broadcast by the Youtube channel of the Neoenergia Institute, was conducted by the artist Veronica Bonfim. The winners of the first edition also participated in the ceremony and shared their experiences with the award. "The Inspire Award came together, came to move society, move our group to the vote, registration. Everyone cheering, moved the city as a whole, our partners and partners", said Eliane Rodrigues, from Amunam from Pernambuco.
In this edition, 39 finalists competed in three categories: Individual/MEI - Individual Microentrepreneur; Collectives or Non-formalized groups; Thirteen of them were chosen by popular vote, which had more than 30,000 votes, and the other three for cultural merit, selected by the External Committee of Experts.
