Acknowledgements

For the third consecutive year, Neoenergia remains in the portfolio of the Business Sustainability Index (ISE) B3 — Brazil, Stock Exchange, Balcão. The 18th ISE B3 portfolio will take effect in 2023, bringing together 70 shares of 70 companies. Created in 2005, ISE is the fourth sustainability index launched worldwide and includes companies that have the best ESG practices.

Neoenergia is included, for the third consecutive year, in the FTSE4Good Index Series index. FTSE4Good is one of the most important international sustainability indices and is measured by the Financial Times Stock Exchange (FTSE) Russell, a division of the London Stock Exchange. It is comprised of publicly traded companies committed to ESG criteria, based on strict selection criteria that consider more than 300 public indicators.

Since its debut in each notebook, 2021 for Climate and 2022 for Water Security, Neoenergia has obtained a- score from CDP Clima and B in the water security notebook, placing itself in a leading position before its peers. The score is the result of the business strategy adopted by the company, focused on accelerating the energy transition towards climate neutrality. The company has officially participated in the CDP since 2021, when it was listed, for the first time, among the leading institutions in environmental performance and committed to the growing demand for more communication and environmental transparency.

Neoenergia was among the first in the electricity sector rankings for the best CFO and the best Investor Relations professional, in addition to winning recognition in the categories of ESG practices and Best Analyst Day. The award, sponsored by Institutional Investor magazine, surveyed 911 professionals from 434 financial services institutions.

The Neoenergia holding company and six of its subsidiaries were ranked in the special edition of the magazine Exame Best and Greatest. With support from Ibmec, responsible for the methodology, the yearbook listed 87 companies in the segment in 2022, evaluating revenue growth between 2020 and 2021, as well as aspects related to ESG.

For the third consecutive year, the company remained in the ranking of the companies with the best performance in the electricity sector in the yearbook prepared by S&P Global ESG, which brings together institutions with the best practices in environmental, social and governance (ESG) aspects.

For

the second consecutive year, Neoenergia was recognized as one of ten companies in the net revenue category above R$ 20 billion for the quality and transparency of its financial information, the consistency of the management report, and adherence to accounting principles. The Transparency Trophy is an initiative of the National Association of Finance, Management and Accounting Executives (Anefac), also known as the “Oscar of Accounting”.

Highlighted in the ranking of the newspaper Valor Econmico in the 2022 edition, due to the results achieved in the previous year, the group was ranked 24th among the largest companies in Brazil (25th in 2021) and with the 2nd place in net revenue in the electricity sector.

Neoenergia is the Top 10 company with the most awards over the ten years of existence of the Smart Customer Award, which recognizes business practices that offer the best experience to customers and employees. In addition, in this edition, he obtained Gold with “Technology and Customer - an experience case”, in partnership with the company Wittel; and Bronze, with the case “End to End Management: Personalization and Welcoming the Neoenergia customer”.

The company was the winner of the Conarec Award in the Energy and Utilities category as a result of its constant investments in digitizing processes and improving the experience of its consumers. The award is organized by the National Congress of Business-Client Relations (Conarec).

Three first-place trophies were awarded to Neoenergia among the six categories of the OSE Award - The Electric Sector for the Quality of Electrical Installations, held for the fourth consecutive year. The award is an initiative of the magazine The Electric Sector in partnership with the National Electric Sector Circuit (Cinase), which recognizes successful efforts to prepare, specify, and install electrical engineering projects in the country. In the Technological Innovation category, the winning project was “Godel — Network Observatory for Reduction of Losses”. In the Research and Development category, the winning project was “Development of technology for inserting microgrids into isolated systems”. And, in the 2022 OSE Award category, the best work was the project “Development of technology for inserting microgrids into isolated systems”.

The Brazilian Association of Electric Power Distributors (Abradee) recognized Neoenergia Cosern as the distributor with the best operational management in Brazil among companies with more than 500 thousand consumers. The dealership also won second place among the highest-ranked distributors in the country and in the Northeast region, as well as in the economic-financial management category. In terms of customer evaluation, the company was in third place.

Neoenergia Cosern was recognized as the company with the best management model in Brazil - Gold category - in the Best in Management Award, organized by the National Quality Foundation (FNQ). In its history at FNQ, the distributor has ten entries, including the National Quality Award and the Best in Management.

The National Electric Energy Agency (ANEEL) recognized Neoenergia Cosern as the distributor with the best supply performance compared to all other large ones (over 400,000 customers) in Brazil. The classification was based on the Global Continuity Performance (DGC), an index that measures the performance of distributors in relation to the limits defined by Aneel itself, which ranges from 0 to 1 (the lower, the better the distributor's performance).

Neoenergia won the Gold award with the End to End Management case. The initiative is the main recognition in the area of customer management and customer experience, highlighting the best practices in the Brazilian market with gold, silver and bronze trophies. In addition, the big winner in each category qualifies to participate in the 2023 Latam Award, competing with companies from Argentina, Colombia, Mexico, and Paraguay, countries that are part of the Latin American Alliance of Organizations for Customer Interaction (Aloic).

For the fourth consecutive time, the company received the Pro-Ethics Company Seal (from the Federal Comptroller General — CGU) in the 2020-2021 edition. For the 2022 edition, to be announced in November/2023, in addition to the group's four distributors submitted annually to the process — Neoenergia Coelba, Neoenergia Elektro, Neoenergia Cosern and Neoenergia Pernambuco — Neoenergia Brasília, which is already fully included in the group's integrity program, was included.

IFC — Solange Ribeiro, Vice President of Regulation, Institutional and Sustainability at Neoenergia, is one of the six women business leaders highlighted by the International Finance Corporation (IFC), the private sector arm of the World Bank, as an example of action to address climate challenges. In addition to his role in Neoenergia and the Brazilian electricity sector, he acts as vice-president on the Global Compact Council of the United Nations (UN), to engage companies and government in meeting the Sustainable Development Goals and the Ten Principles of the Global Compact.

The executive director of Renewables at Neoenergia, Laura Porto, was awarded the title of Wind Ambassador at the main congress and trade fair in Latin America on wind energy, Brazil Windpower 2022. The homage is a recognition of more than 20 years of contributions to the development of wind energy in the Brazilian electricity sector. She was the first woman to receive the award. In a thank-you speech, the executive recalled the changes in the market over the past two decades, from the moment it was considered an alternative source to the current debate on offshore wind. In addition, it reinforced the importance of acting with ethics, economic and socio-environmental responsibility and in a more humane, collaborative and diverse organizational culture.

Project created in 2018 that maps women in executive positions in the energy sector with the objective of guiding the discourse on diversity and gender inclusion in the sector in a positive way. In 2022, 180 women were nominated for the award, with Neoenergia participating in 4 nominations, Laura Porto, executive director of Renewables; Solange Ribeiro, Vice President of Regulation, Institutional and Sustainability; Thaisa Alcoforado, Superintendent of Renewable Business Development; and Claudia Suanno, Superintendent of Regulation.

Junt+s, Neoenergia's diversity program, was the winner of the most important Business Communication award in Brazil. The program received the award at the Rio de Janeiro regional stage in the Diversity and Inclusion category.

Neoenergia won the silver ABT Award trophy with the End to End Management case. The initiative of the Brazilian Teleservices Association (ABT) is the highest award in customer relations in Brazil and aims to recognize and disseminate the best practices presented by participating companies, transforming the winning cases into a reference for the market.

Neoenergia achieved the position of TOP 50 Open Corps and 4th place in the Electric Energy and Renewables category in the Top 100 Open Corps 2022 ranking, an initiative that recognizes the leading corporations in open innovation with startups. For the ranking, projects from all Neoenergia businesses carried out with the collaboration of startups were submitted.
