Women Empowerment

Neoenergia's premise is to expand women's participation in the social and professional context, reinforcing its commitment to gender equity.

What does women empowerment mean

Female empowerment is the collective awareness of gender equity, without depriving women of their participation in society. From everyday behavioral actions to the promotion of opportunities, there are several ways to act in favor of women's empowerment, and Neoenergia is part of this movement through

internal and external actions:

NeoEnergia's commitment to women's empowerment

The promotion of respect and diversity is part of Neoenergia's internal regulations. The company maintains an Equal Opportunity and Reconciliation Policy that does not allow any type of discrimination based on race, color, age, sex, marital status, ideology, political opinions, nationality, religion, sexual orientation or any other personal, physical or social condition among its professionals.

Women's sport

Neoenergia is the first company to exclusively support the Brazilian Women's Soccer Teams. The starting and base teams are encouraged by the company, which has more than 500 players. The partnership with CBF also includes sponsoring the national championship, the Brasileirão Feminino NeoEnergia.
Another front to encourage the inclusion of women through national sports is the Neoenergia Team, made up of athletes who count on the company's encouragement to further boost their winning careers. Sponsorships reaffirm the strengthening and humanization of the brand in the country.

School of Electricians

A free training initiative for residents of the Neoenergia concession areas, the School of Electricians promotes female empowerment with pure energy! One of the main objectives is to stimulate the generation of employment and income, expanding the opportunity for a new profession for women and encouraging the insertion of women in a profession occupied predominantly by men.

Impactô Mulheres

Organized by Instituto Neoenergia, Impactô Mulheres is a social acceleration initiative in partnership with the Ekloos Institute and aimed exclusively at NGOs and social businesses that have women as their main managers, founders or co-founders, benefiting their respective institutions. The project provides incentives for investment and training, with volunteer mentors from the company itself, for institutions that work in underserved communities, with the objective of expanding their impacts.

Inspirar Award

The Inspirar Award was created to recognize women who promote social transformation through art and culture in areas of social vulnerability in six states — Bahia, Mato Grosso do Sul, São Paulo, Pernambuco, Rio de Janeiro, Rio Grande do Norte and São Paulo — and in the Federal District. Projects such as Redes da Maré, Boi Mandigueira and the Nazaré da Mata Women's Association have already been awarded. The initiative reinforces the commitment and commitment of the Instituto Neoenergia to achieve SDG 5, inspiring other initiatives to reduce gender inequality.

#LetHerInspireYou

In celebration of the International Day of Women's Entrepreneurship (19/11), the #DeixaElaTeInspirar campaign was created to disseminate inspiring stories from influencers, entrepreneurs, and collaborators of Neoenergia. On the podcast of the same name, all these stories can be viewed and shared.

Junt+s Program

With a focus on diversity and equity in the company, the program aims to promote a series of initiatives in favor of equality. NeoEnergia's more than 16,000 employees have access to an exclusive platform with testimonials, information, videos and even educational games focused on diversity. These are contents that help to make each member of the Neoenergia team a multiplier of good practices in every environment.

Support for local women entrepreneurs

Neoenergia encourages local businesses led by women, ranging from training to outreach, increasing the visibility of these works. An example is the support for the Associação Comunitária das Louceiras Negras da Serra do Talhada, formed by women from the Quilombola Community of Serra do Talhada Urbana, in Santa Luzia (PB) - close to the Neoenergia Chafariz wind complex and the Neoenergia Luzia solar power plants -, which produce clay pieces, such as pots and vases.
Female entrepreneurship contributes to society by promoting
opportunities and socioeconomic growth without inequality
