The pacts signed guide the company in the alignment of management practices for the creation of economic, social and environmental value.

Neoenergia acts in an innovative way, measuring or minimizing the impacts of its operations, products, services and activities on economies, people and the planet.

Meet some of the commitments signed by the company:

Global Compact 



The Global Compact advocates ten Universal Principles derived from the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, the International Labor Organization Declaration on Fundamental Principles and Rights at Work, the Rio Declaration on Environment and Development and the United Nations Convention against Corruption.

Neoenergia Group has become a Compact's signatory in August 2007 and, each year, it reports its actions and progress on the Compact's ten principles in its Sustainability Report.​

​Sustainable Development Goals (SGDs)

Neoenergia incorporated the SGDs in 2018, prioritizing SGD 7 (Renewable and Affordable Energies) and 13 (Climate Action) and, as a direct contribution, SGD 6 (Potable Water and Sanitation), 9 (Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure), 15 (Life on Earth) and 17 (Partnerships and Means of Implementation).

As part of this commitment, the company is engaged in this movement until 2030 through initiatives, projects and solutions that address the needs of the present without compromising future generations.

Brazilian Business Council for Sustainable Development - CEBDS

Neoenergia approved its association with CEBDS in June 2016. The Council is a non-profit association of companies that articulates actions with governments and civil society for sustainable development. It represents its associates at the UN Conference on Climate Change since 1998.

Ethos Institute

Neonergia Group is associated to the Ethos Institute of Business and Social Responsibility. The Institute is dedicated to mobilizing, sensitizing, and helping companies manage their businesses in a responsible way, in order to build a fair and sustainable society.

As a result of this commitment, Neoenergia was one of 23 companies that received the Pro-Ethics Seal in 2017, an initiative of the Ministry of Transparency, Inspection and Comptroller General of the Union and the Ethos Institute that recognizes companies that adopt and disseminate lawful, ethical and transparent practices in their activities and that maintain effective integrity programs in compliance with Brazilian anti-corruption legislation. The validity of the seal has been extended for three consecutive years.



Comunitas​

Also in June 2016, Neoenergia Group joined Comunitas​, a civil society organization that brings together Brazilian companies with the purpose of contributing to the improvement of corporate social investments in order to reduce inequalities in the country.​
