São João 2025: Neoenergia's new campaign reinforces safety on the electricity grid

6/5/25

After the success of the Carnival safety campaign with Carlinhos Brown, the São João campaign will feature a jingle with safety tips on radio and digital platforms in all concession areas.

The São João celebrations are starting and Neoenergia is launching a new campaign to reinforce the importance of safety on the electricity grid during the season. The new campaign follows on from the success of this year's Carnival safety campaign with Carlinhos Brown. This time, to ensure the brightness of the festivals, a new jingle is being broadcast on radio stations and digital platforms in the concession areas of the group's distributors, with an emphasis on the Northeast, where the country's main June festivals are held.

Listen to it here.

Now it's São João

With the refrain "Now it's São João, now it's joy! Don't let the fire burn out your energy", the campaign's jingle reinforces the importance of safety during the country's June festivities. The initiative adds to the preventive actions that include ongoing maintenance already carried out routinely. Considered the Brazilian region with the biggest and most traditional June festivals, the Northeast is home to three of the company's five distributors: Neoenergia Coelba (BA), Neoenergia Cosern (RN) and Neoenergia Pernambuco (PE). The other distributors are Neoenergia Brasília (DF) and Neoenergia Elektro (SP/MS).

"Once again, Neoenergia is using music to talk about safety, an essential subject that cannot be forgotten during popular festivals. The success of the Carnival campaign inspired us for São João.We are continuing in a creative way with an impactful message that reinforces awareness with the public to show our daily work to guarantee a safe and quality supply," says Lorenzo Perales, Neoenergia's Marketing Director.

In February, Neoenergia launched a Carnival campaign aimed at ensuring safety on the electricity grid during the days of revelry. The initiative featured Carlinhos Brown performing the jingle "Energia é Folia". Now, for the June festivities, the company is bringing the voice of northeastern singer Adelmo Casé to the new jingle, whose lyrics were written in partnership with Neoenergia's Safety Committee.

Safety on the electricity grid

Both in the capitals and in cities in the countryside, the concessionaires are also warning about the danger of illegal connections. In addition to being a threat to the functioning of the electricity grid, the popular "gato" or "macaco" is a crime. For this reason, the distributors have intensified their guidelines for those who want to enjoy São João without accidents in the electricity network. This work includes instructions on correct procedures for decorative installations, such as the "strings of lights" that adorn homes, condominiums, clubs and public roads at this time of year. The advertisements also warn against releasing balloons, hanging banners on power poles and lighting bonfires near electrical wires.

Preventive operations with inspections and maintenance on the electricity grid begin at least three months in advance. This season, the teams have also prepared in advance for the temporary electrical installations. The technical assessment is very thorough so that the June festivities take place within the standards of reliability, safety and quality.
