Initiative recognizes the role of female leaders in the field of art and culture

The Neoenergia Institute opens the popular vote this Tuesday to choose the winners of the Inspire 2023 Prize. The initiative will recognize 16 female leaders who have been working for at least one year in the field of art and culture, with a positive impact on areas of social vulnerability in seven states — Bahia, Mato Grosso do Sul, São Paulo, Pernambuco, Rio de Janeiro, Rio Grande do Norte and São Paulo — and in the Federal District.

The vote will run until October 22nd on the Neoenergia Institute website . R$ 140,000 will be distributed to the 16 winners in three categories: women (individuals or Individual Microentrepreneur, MEI); collectives (non-formalized groups represented by a female leader responsible for submission); and organizations (legal entities, with women in legal representation, and with annual revenues of up to R$ 1 million). Of the total number of winners, three are still selected by the External Committee of Experts for the award, for cultural merit.

“Highlighting the performance of these leaders is important to value female leadership in promoting culture. The award brings visibility to the work carried out by women from different states of the country to improve the quality of life of people in areas of social vulnerability. Their representation inspires everyone to recognize the power of artistic and cultural activities as a mechanism for overcoming the challenges imposed by the 2030 Agenda and urges us to be agents of change and to build together a better future for our Brazil, ” says Renata Chagas, CEO of the Neoenergia Institute.

The Inspire Award is organized by the Neoenergia Institute, with the collaboration of the company's five distributors —Neoenergia Brasília (DF), Neoenergia Coelba (BA), Neoenergia Cosern (RN), Neoenergia Elektro (SP/MS), Neoenergia Pernambuco (PE) — in addition to the technical partnership of Baluarte Cultura.
