Rio de Janeiro, March 14, 2024

When the ball rolls in the Neoenergia Women's Brasileirão, the company takes the field to reaffirm its commitment to the growth of the sport in the country. The main sponsor of the women's national club championship, Neoenergia plays a fundamental role in advancing the transformation of culture among Brazilians to recognize the importance of

women in sports.

Among the news announced by the Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF) for this year's championship, the record investment of R$ 25 million stands out; and the 25% increase in the prize pool, compared to 2023, with a total of around R$ 2.3 million, of which R$ 1.5 million for the champions and R$ 750 thousand for the runners-up. The season starts tomorrow (Friday, 15/3) with 16 clubs that, over six months, will compete for the title until September. It is worth remembering that the final in 2023 reached a historic audience mark. Around 42,500 fans attended the stadium, something unprecedented for women's club soccer in South America

.

This new scenario shows how our support remains essential for the growth of women's soccer in Brazil. That's the energy we want to bring to this championship season. We believe that we are on the right path to encourage the inclusion of women inside and outside the fields,” says Lorenzo Perales, Marketing Director at Neoenergia

.

According to the executive, today Neoenergia is recognized, among the companies in the sector, that most encourages women's sports in the country. In addition to sponsoring the championship, the company is preparing various content on its digital platforms to expand the brand's engagement with the

competition.

The company also supports the Brazilian Women's Soccer Teams, under the contract with the CBF. Support for women's sports is also present in the Neoenergia Team, made up of five female athletes from various sports: Ana Marcela Cunha, open-water Olympic champion; Bruna Kajiya, four-time world kitesurfer champion; Ana Vitória Magalhães, Tota, Brazilian road cycling and time trial champion; Mirelle Leite, two-time South American champion in 3,000 meters with obstacles in the Under-23; and Celine Bispo, South American youth swimming champion.
