Free publication addresses social and environmental topics for children

Rio de Janeiro, October 17, 2023

To celebrate its five years, the Neoenergia Institute has just released a children's activity book, available for free download at its website . Aimed at children from six to ten years old, the work brings together educational games, with socio-environmental themes and linked to projects and programs promoted by the organization for the benefit of sustainable development. Through word search, the game of seven mistakes, painting, and other hobbies, children are encouraged to reflect on the importance of good social and environmental practices.

Each activity in the book is associated with an initiative from the five pillars of the Neoenergia Institute: Training and Research; Biodiversity and Climate Change; Art and Culture; Social Action; Institutional Collaboration. The publication aims to include children in discussions about sustainability in a playful and interactive way, showing that these reflections must be stimulated from childhood.

The children of today will be the adults of tomorrow and, therefore, they will be responsible for directing new paths in favor of sustainable development. Therefore, they need to be aware of this issue from an early age. Young people are the hope of a society more committed to social and environmental issues and to building a better future for our planet. It is very gratifying to contribute to the integration of this agenda, which is so important for the whole of society, into the children's universe,” says Renata Chagas, director of the Neoenergia Institute.

On the Neoenergia Institute website, there are also three other children's coloring books produced by the organization, related to Flyways Brazil Project , Coralize Project and Cultural Enlightenment Program .
