Neoenergia takes the field on Friday, 11, in
the friendly match of the Brazilian Women's National Soccer Team against
Russia. This is the National Team's first match after the announcement of
Neoenergia's sponsorship, being the first company in the country to sponsor exclusively the
Brazilian Women's National Teams, both adult and youth, highlighting the
company's commitment to promote gender equality.
The match takes place in
Cartagena, Spain, and will be broadcast live on open TV by Globo, starting at 4
pm. The team's second friendly game has already been scheduled for next Monday,
June 14, against Canada, at the same place and time as Friday's match. These
friendly matches are a preparation for the Tokyo Olympic Games, which will
start in July.
Neoenergia's historic agreement with the
Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF) is valid until 2024 and provides for the
brand's display on the Women's National Team's training uniform, presence on
the advertising boards around the pitch of all games and backdrops, as well as
promotional actions and activations in the social networks of the Brazilian
Warriors.
The energy company also
supports the national club competition, which is now called Brasileirão
Feminino Neoenergia. This is the most important women's soccer competition
in the country, with 16 teams fighting for the title. The next round will take
place on June 19, with the games São José X Ferroviária; Flamengo X Kindermann;
Botafogo X Santos and Corinthians X Minas Brasilia.
“Neoenergia's support
for women's sports reinforces the company's commitment to expand women's
participation in the social and professional context, promoting gender
equality. We believe in equality in all fields, and we share with these players
the same values such as effort, overcoming, professionalism and teamwork,” says Mario Ruiz-Tagle,
Neoenergia's CEO.
