Tool gathers monthly publications, manuals and booklets, including pieces targeted to the children audience
Neoenergia, through its distributors, launches the application “Neoenergia Publications", in which customers have simplified access to materials of several projects from the Energy Efficiency programs of its distributors Coelba (BA), Celpe (PE), Elektro (SP/MS) and Cosern (RN), regulated by the National Electric Energy Agency (Aneel). The initiative may also be used by customers of Neoenergia – CEB Distribuição, which is being integrated into Energy Efficiency programs developed throughout the group and, soon, will also include all the actions in the application.
The tool, which is already available for download on iOS and Android, brings together in one place several informative and educational contents about the efficient use of energy, among monthly publications, manuals, and brochures, including materials for children. The application is organized into categories, which enables the user to easily locate the desired content. By clicking on the menu, it is possible to select Brochures, Magazines, Children's Magazines, Manuals, and Books. In addition, the home page, the client has quick access to some of the main materials. Among them are information leaflets about the Vale Luz project, an initiative of Neoenergia's distributors in the Northeast that exchanges recyclable waste for discounts on energy bills. Besides bringing economic benefits, the project reinforces the company's commitment to invest in sustainable actions that contribute to the environment.
The comic book 'Paxuá e Paramim' is available for children. The characters were created by artist Carlinhos Brown and, through the story, children can learn more about the safe and efficient use of energy. Another special content for the kids is the book 'Filó, a árvore que não queria morrer' (Filó the tree that didn't want to die), which shows the importance of energy efficiency in a playful way. It is also possible to access the book 'Education with Energy', which presents the main educational projects carried out by the Neoenergia distributors' Energy Efficiency program, such as the Energy classes and the “Tô Ligado na Energia" (I'm tuned on the Energy) Festival.
The public can also access the quarterly publications of the Energy Efficiency magazine, which brings the main highlights of the program in the period. In addition to accessing previous issues, it is possible to follow the latest news as soon as they are released. Finally, the application also includes the Manual for Conscious Energy Consumption, with the main guidelines and information that contribute to the good use of appliances and electronics, as well as guidance on daily habits that impact energy consumption.
“The application enables that essential information about the conscious use of energy is always available to our customers, sharing the importance of energy efficiency for people, companies and society, since, with the pandemic the printed distribution of this material became more difficult", says Ana Mascarenhas, Neoenergia's Energy Efficiency manager.
Neoenergia's distributors' Energy Efficiency program seeks to promote awareness actions and changes in the energy consumption habits of all types of customers in order to contribute to sustainable development. This is possible by changing attitudes, enhanced by renewable energy generation, as well as by waste recycling, contributing for the preservation of the environment.
The initiative is in line with Neoenergia's commitments with Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) established by the United Nations (U.N). Among the 17 goals, Neoenergia prioritizes the meeting of SDG 7 (Affordable and Clean Energy) and SDG 13 (Climate Change) and directly contributes to SDG 6 (Clean Water and Sanitation), SDG 9 (Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure), SDG 15 (Life on Land) and SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals).
