The Cosern Ombudsman, our energy distributor in Rio Grande do Norte, was recognized for the second consecutive year as the best in Brazil in the category of large companies in the 2nd edition of the award created by the National Electric Energy Agency (Aneel) to highlight the best Ombudsmen of the Electric Power Distributors of Brazil.
The result was announced on May 15, during the 18th National Meeting of Electric Sector Ombudsmen (ENOSE) held in Vitória (ES).
Created in 2012, the Ombudsman's Office is a key sector in the relationship of 1.4 million customers with Cosern. In 2018, 26,045 appointments were made, distributed in requests for information, denunciations, compliments, suggestions and complaints. Of this total, only 2% were complaints related to the provision of Cosern's service.
In 2015, the Ombudsman's Office created the "Ombudsman Itinerant" project, passing through several towns in order to bring customers even closer. Since then, there have been 20 actions associated with other services to consumers, such as safe and conscious consumption of electricity, commercial services, regulation of the electricity sector, consumer rights and duties and disclosing the role of Consumer Council of Cosern.
