Committed to SDG 5 of the UN's 2030 Agenda, the Inspirar Award reinforces equal opportunities and the appreciation of cultural diversity

The Neoenergia Institute announced on Thursday (30) the finalists for the Inspirar 2025 Award. The popular vote is open online until November 10 to choose the 16 winners. Now in its fifth edition, the initiative recognizes female protagonists in the field of art and culture in various Brazilian regions. For the first time, this year's awards will be exclusively for black women. The winners will be announced at a ceremony on November 27, broadcast live on the awards' YouTube channel. "The role of women is essential if we are to make progress on the goals of the 2030 Agenda. In art and culture, women's work is a transformative force, capable of generating socio-economic development and inspiring change throughout the country.More than an award, it is recognition of the positive impact of women on society and their contribution to strengthening Brazilian culture," says Renata Chagas, CEO of the Neoenergia Institute.

The executive recalls that the Inspirar Award is directly aligned with the commitment ofSustainableDevelopment Goal (SDG) 5 - Gender Equality, within the scope of the UN's 2030 Agenda - as well as contributing to the reduction of inequalities and the promotion of Brazilian cultural diversity.

In all, the Inspirar 2025 Award will distribute R$169,000 in funds to initiatives led by black women, in two categories: Women, for leaders who work as individuals (13 awards of R$10,000 each); Collectives, for leaders of non-formalized cultural collectives (3 awards of R$13,000 each).

A cycle of transformation

Under the theme "Inspirar Infinite Cycle", the Inspirar 2025 Award symbolizes the continuous and transformative journey of black women who use art as an instrument of resistance, creation and social change. The concept translates into a symbolic sequence of interconnected acts, which express the cyclical movement of those who transform the world with sensitivity and purpose: inspiring generates creating, creating feeds resisting, resisting leads to accomplishing, accomplishing empowers, empowering multiplies, multiplying enchants, enchanting renews dreaming - and dreaming, in turn, inspires again.

The Inspirar 2025 Award is presented by the Ministry of Culture and the Neoenergia Institute and carried out by Baluarte, through the National Culture Incentive Law (PRONAC 2411473), sponsored by Neoenergia.
