Neoenergia's Potencialize Program is recognized by the UN's Global Network Brazil Pact as a reference in good corporate practices

6/5/25

Potencialize is awarded at the Ambition 2030 Forum, as part of the Race is Priority Movement

Committed to equal opportunities among its employees, Neoenergia was recognized by the Brazil Network Global Pact, a UN initiative to promote corporate sustainability, for the implementation of Potencialize. A pioneer in the energy sector, the program has been developed since last year to boost the growth and careers of black and brown people who are already with the company. The program was one of the highlights of the Ambition 2030 Forum ceremony held Wednesday (4/6) in São Paulo. The program was chosen as good practice within the framework of the Race is Priority Movement.

“Potencialize represents a major step forward so that we can expand opportunities in order to have a more representative corporate structure. In this way, all these talents will be able to achieve prominent positions reflecting the purpose of our organizational culture ,” said Eduardo Capelastegui,

CEO of Neoenergia.

Launched at Neoenergia Coelba, the group's distributor in Bahia, the project had 15 collaborators selected and has already promoted five to new positions. With the success of the first edition, the program was extended this year to other distributors - Neoenergia Brasília (DF), Neoenergia Cosern (RN), Neoenergia Elektro (SP/MS) and Neoenergia Pernambuco (PE) - and other corporate areas of Neoenergia. Potencialize joins initiatives to promote and strengthen a culture of equal opportunities in the company

Ambition 2030 Forum

The event brought together business leaders, government representatives, civil society, the UN and the academy in strategic conversations to promote concrete actions aimed at confronting the most pressing global challenges, such as climate change, social inequality and environmental preservation. Altogether, awards were distributed in 19 categories to 16 companies

.

The recognition given commemorates the advances in the Ambition 2030 strategy, launched by the Brazil Global Pact-Network in 2022, which today encompasses 10 Movements: Net Zero Ambition, Circular Connection, Amazon Impact, +Water, Mind in Focus, They Lead 2030, Race is Priority, Decent Wage, 100% Transparency and Educa2030. The Movements are a call to Brazilian companies to recognize the urgency and the need to promote concrete actions, with goals and assuming

public commitments.

“We are in what the UN Secretary General, António Guterres, calls the Decade of Action. There are only five years left until 2030. It is a time of urgency and this urgency involves concrete actions in the pillars of Environment, Anti-Corruption, Human Rights and Labor. This recognition is proof that we are acting, although we still have a good way to go ,” believes Mônica Gregori, Impact Director of the Global Compact — Rede Brasil
