With a focus on shareholder simplification, value creation and sustainability, the company bought 37.5% of the share capital of Energética Corumbá III (ECIII), previously owned by CELGPAR, in an auction held today at B3. ECIII, in turn, owns 40% of the Corumbá III hydroelectric plant

Neoenergia bought 37.5% of the share capital of Energética Corumbá III (ECIII), previously owned by CELGPAR, in an auction held on Friday (3/10) at B3. ECIII, in turn, owns 40% of the Corumbá III hydroelectric plant.

The value of the operation is R$91.8 million, which is subject to updating by the Broad Consumer Price Index (IPCA) from the base date of December 31, 2023 until the settlement date of the acquired lot, in addition to other adjustments usual for this type of transaction. The conclusion of the transaction is also subject to the non-exercise of the right of first refusal by Companhia Energética de Brasília (CEB), which holds a stake in Energética Corumbá III, and to the other conditions precedent set out in the auction notice.

"The result of the auction reinforces the strategy of portfolio optimization with value generation, following capital discipline and simplifying our structure," said Eduardo Capelastegui, CEO of Neoenergia.

Neoenergia currently holds a 25% stake in Energética Corumbá III and 60% directly in the consortium operating the Corumbá III hydroelectric plant (representing a direct and indirect stake of 70% of the plant), and will now hold, after consummation of the operation, 62.5% of Energética Corumbá III, and 85% direct and indirect stake in the Corumbá III hydroelectric plant.
