More than 11,000 irrigators and aquaculturists in five states could lose the benefit of up to 73% off their energy bill

Neoenergia customers who are receiving a message on their bill have until 30/11 to rectify the situation and guarantee a discount of up to 73% on the energy bill

The customers of Neoenergia's distributors in the Northeast (Neoenergia Cosern (RN), Neoenergia Coelba (BA), Neoenergia Pernambuco (PE) and Neoenergia Elektro, which serves part of the states of São Paulo and Mato Grosso do Sul, classified as rural in Group B that receive tariff benefits from irrigation activities and of aquaculture, you must pay attention to the registration review carried out in 2023. As determined by the National Electric Energy Agency (ANEEL), 11,099 consumers included in this consumer category must revalidate the documentation by November 30, 2023 in order not to lose the discounts on the energy bill — which vary according to the region of the country and the category of the group that the customer is included in.

As determined by industry legislation, customers who need to upgrade are receiving an alert on their energy bill. For Neoenergia customers in the Northeast, the following message appears: ATTENTION - Registration review of the Tariff Benefit (Art. 207-REN ANEEL 1000/2021) - Call 116 or search for Service”.

Para os clientes da Neoenergia Elektro the following is printed: “URGENT: YOU MUST DO IT THE REGISTRATION REVIEW TO MAINTAIN THE TARIFF BENEFIT (REN 1000/ANEEL) - CONTACT NEOENERGIA ELEKTRO!”

Consumers who do not re-register may lose their subsidy starting in December 2023. If this happens, customers can receive the discount again by regularizing the documentation with the dealership. However, there will be no compensation for the period in which the consumer remained unregistered.
