Inauguration of the Neoenergia Renewable Complex in 2023,

in the interior of Paraíba, consecrated the company's work nationally

Neoenergia won the Aberje 2024 Award in the Events Category with two trophies: National and Regional. The company was recognized on Monday night (2) at a ceremony held by the Brazilian Association of Corporate Communication (Aberje) in São Paulo. This is the third time that Neoenergia has won the Aberje Award, which has recognized and valued the Corporate Communication ecosystem for 50 years. The award recognizes the efforts of companies and partners to expand dialogue with stakeholders and generate positive impacts on society.

Neoenergia competed against five other large companies operating throughout Brazil. The company stood out regionally and nationally with the inauguration event of the Neoenergia Renewable Complex, in the Paraíba hinterland, in March 2023. But this was not the only award presented by Aberje. In the Society Category, Neoenergia was the North/Northeast Regional Champion with its Safety Campaign 'Above All, Life'. In 2014 and 2017, Neoenergia was also national champion of the Aberje Award.

"Designing, setting up and holding the inauguration event for the Neoenergia Renewable Complex was a milestone for our company, given its logistical complexity. However, with the commitment of our team and partner companies, we were able to hold a never-before-seen inauguration in the heart of the Paraíba hinterland, in stunning scenery. The Aberje Award shows us that we are making history and we believe we will go even further," said Lorenzo Perales, Marketing Director at Neoenergia.

Event and Campaign awarded in 2024

The launch ceremony for Brazil's first hybrid wind and solar power generation park was held in the municipality of Santa Luzia (PB), around 300 kilometers from the capital João Pessoa, and was attended by Eduardo Capelastegui, CEO of Neoenergia and executives from Iberdrola (the company's controlling Spanish group), including CEO Ignacio Galán. Public authorities also attended, such as the President of the Republic, Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva; the First Lady, Janja Lula da Silva; the Governor of Paraíba, João Azevêdo; and the Minister of Mines and Energy, Alexandre Silveira.

The aim of the Above All Life 2023 campaign was to establish communication that would be part of people's daily lives without being invasive and at the same time consolidate the Neoenergia brand in a positive way with customers. In this scenario, the concept of awareness was the guiding principle for drawing up the strategy for the annual safety campaign for Neoenergia's distributors. In order to define the target audience, the profile that works with construction and renovation in the communities was taken into account, and the topics covered in the campaign were: construction and renovation, TV aerials, tree pruning, broken wires, kites and illegal connections.
