2/16/24

Resources were concentrated on expanding networks and

continuous improvement of quality and customer service

Rio de Janeiro, February 16, 2024

Focusing on the continuous improvement of the quality of energy supply and the expansion of networks, in 2023, Neoenergia invested R$ 4.7 billion in the five distributors: Neoenergia Brasília (DF), Neoenergia Coelba (BA), Neoenergia Cosern (RN), Neoenergia Elektro (SP/MS) and Neoenergia Pernambuco (PE).

Investments in network expansion include digitization of this structure, installation of automatic rectifiers and other technological resources that make the energy supply even more reliable. These actions are in addition to the daily maintenance of equipment in all concession areas

.

The five distributors also closed the year serving 16.4 million customers - an increase of 314 thousand customers (+2%). In addition, the investments made allowed Neoenergia to close 2023 with all the distributors included in the quality indicators determined by the National Electric Energy Agency (ANEEL), the DEC (Equivalent Interruption Duration per Consumer) and the FEC (Equivalent Interruption Frequency per Consumer).

The DEC shows the time interval in which each consumer, on average, was without electricity, considering interruptions equal to or greater than three minutes. The FEC, on the other hand, shows the number of interruptions that each consumer, on average, suffered, considering interruptions equal to or greater than three minutes
