Neoenergia Provider Companies carry out special technical visits to hospitals, sanitation companies and prisons

The world is in unison to fight COVID-19. Health care professionals have worked twice as hard to treat patients and study the new disease. But, in addition, there are other categories that continue to work in order to ensure the power required for hospitals to function.

 

 

Neoenergia employees are carrying out special technical visits on more than 1,200 health care units, in an effort to ensure the power that keeps implements such as lighting and breathing equipment working. The work of technicians from Coelba, Celpe, Cosern and Elektro is to identify solutions for factors that may cause problems to the power grid supplying the hospitals.

In Pernambuco, Celpe mapped out 400 hospitals for inspection visits. Nearby in Bahia, Coelba currently services 562 units, with 149 priority hospitals and 413 health centers. Cosern is currently inspecting 70 units in Rio Grande do Norte. 178 hospitals were visited by Elektro in inland São Paulo and Mato Grosso do Sul.

Inspections are made in substations, networks and cabinets. According to need, there may be, for example, pruning of trees, creation of projects in order to assess installed capacity and analysis of generators. In addition to technical visits, there is also a direct channel between hospitals and energy provider companies to speed up service in case of emergencies involving the power grid.

 

Similar work has been carried out by companies (Coelba, Celpe, Cosern and Elektro) in 114 sanitation company units and 45 prison units of the states addressed by said companies. And who is in operation, Neoenergia has also adopted preventive measures. A routine for hand and equipment cleaning was implemented. In addition, there was changes in work shifts, avoiding overcrowding.
