Neoenergia | Biguaçu Transmissão is an enterprise of the Neoenergia Group, which is part of Lot 22, acquired in the transmission auction no. 05/2016 of ANEEL, held by the National Electric Energy Agency (ANEEL) in April 2017.
Located in the state of Santa Catarina, southern region of the country, the project consists of the expansion of the SE and the construction of a Static Reactive Compensator (-100/+300 MVAR), a state-of-the-art technology to, among other functionalities, regulate the voltage in the network to reduce the variations caused by shutdowns or instabilities, reinforcing the electrical system of the region, ensuring more safety and reliability to it.
The operating license of the project was issued by the Institute of the Environment of Santa Catarina on June 24, 2020, a 7-month advance in relation to the Contractual Term defined by ANEEL (February 2021).
USE OF TECHNOLOGY
The conclusion of Biguaçu occurred in the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic. With mobility restrictions, it was necessary to use technologies to perform the assembly completion and commissioning of the static compensator. This stage of assembly and testing of the equipment is carried out by professionals from Sweden, who could not travel to Brazil due to the coronavirus. Neoenergia has therefore adopted the virtual reality solution, among others. An expert in Sweden accompanied the assembly and parameterizations performed by the team in Brazil, wearing virtual reality glasses. The use of new technologies was decisive for the completion of the Substation Assembly and its energization.
COVID-19
The continuity of the work, essential to give more safety and reliability to the electrical system of Santa Catarina, also required the adoption of prevention measures to Covid-19. Neoenergia has developed a prevention protocol, which provides for the use of masks by all employees in all areas, the distance between employees and constant guidance on better hygiene habits.
