Committed to developing women's sport in the country, Neoenergia is supporting the competition for the first time, with a record number of athletes and a majority of women in this edition in Brasília.

Present for the first time at the Caixa 2025 Youth Games, Neoenergia has programmed a series of activities for the public and athletes with Olympic champion judoka Bia Souza. The championship begins in a week's time in Brasília, from September 10 to 25. Interactive activities are planned to encourage efficient electricity consumption and raise awareness of the importance of sustainability in everyday life. In this edition, Neoenergia confirms its commitment to developing women's sport in the country: with 4,700 young people from 20 sports disciplines, the competition has a record number of participants, the majority of whom are women athletes.

The arrival of Neoenergia at the Caixa 2025 Youth Games represents another step forward in the partnership with the Brazilian Olympic Committee (COB). The union of the two brands contributes to developing women's sport in the country and making Brazilian Olympic sport even more sustainable. Since March, Neoenergia has guaranteed the supply of 100% renewable electricity on the free market for the Time Brasil Training Center in Rio de Janeiro. This is also an opportunity for the company to show that more than supplying electricity, Neoenergia is present at every moment in the lives of the 1.1 million customers served by its distributor Neoenergia Brasília. Actions with Bia Souza

In addition to encouraging the young athletes, Bia Souza will take part in various actions promoted with the support of Neoenergia's Energy Efficiency Program, regulated by the National Electric Energy Agency (Aneel). On September 20, the judoka will be at the Brasília International Convention Center (CICB) to invite the public to take part in the Pedal Challenge. The game aims to show how a person can generate electricity by pedaling a bicycle.

The judoka, who is an ambassador for Team Neoenergia and the Caixa 2025 Youth Games, recognizes the importance of the competition in her path to winning gold at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games. In the 2011 edition of the Youth Games, she won a bronze medal.

The company has also prepared other actions focused on sustainability. Those passing through the City Park during the event will have the opportunity to take part in workshops and learn how they can save on their electricity bills by consuming energy consciously.

This historic edition of the Caixa 2025 Youth Games also reinforces Brasília's ability to host national competitions. To give you an idea of the scale of the event, in addition to the 4,700 athletes, there will be 837 coaches and 167 officials, out of a total of 5,704 registered. The operation will include more than 40,000 nights' accommodation, around 70,000 meals and 13 truckloads of equipment.
