Neoenergia stood out in two categories on the night of the Top of the Year awards at the Leaders in Energy 2026, one of the main events in the sector. Neoenergia's vice-president, Solange Ribeiro, was elected Sector Executive - Electricity and was also chosen as Sector Notable.

"I'm a great believer in the integration of public agents and companies in an environment where everyone works together to achieve the best results and decisions for Brazilian society. In these 40 years in the sector, I have always worked with this objective in mind.We want the best for Brazil," she said.

This is the second edition of Top of the Year. The award is part of the Latam Energy Week program and is one of the most important recognitions in the Brazilian energy sector, bringing together leadership, influence and strategic vision.

This year, a Council of Notables was created, made up of industry leaders such as Mário Menel, Graça Foster, Elena Landau, Joisa Dutra, Jerson Kelman and Edvaldo Santana. The group had the challenge of assessing the leaders' ability to influence public debate, unblock agendas and lead the sector amid a complex regulatory scenario.

The awards event was held in Rio de Janeiro for 300 guests. A total of 128 companies took part in six categories.
