The Neoenergia Group set a record with eight trophies won at the Abradee 2025 Awards. Neoenergia Cosern was recognized for the second time as the best distributor in Brazil and for the seventh time as the best in the Northeast. Neoenergia Elektro won as the best utility in the Southeast. In an unprecedented milestone for the Federal District's electricity sector, Neoenergia Brasília won first place in the Performance Evolution category. The result was announced last night (20) at the Clube Naval in Brasília (DF).

"It's a recognition that reflects our commitment to operation and service to ensure the quality of energy supply and services.We continue to focus on the customer, investing in modernizing the system and incorporating innovative technologies to make the distribution networks even more resilient in our concession areas," said Eduardo Capelastegui, CEO of Neoenergia.

Last year, the company announced a broad and detailed investment plan for our five distribution companies, worth R$24 billion between 2024 and 2027, including the expansion, modernization and infrastructure of the electricity grid. According to a survey by the Brazilian Association of Infrastructure and Basic Industries in Brasilia (ABDIB), Neoenergia leads among the companies that invested the most in basic infrastructure in the country in 2024: R$9.8 billion was earmarked for network expansion, renovation, maintenance and automation.

Promoted by the Brazilian Association of Electricity Distributors (Abradee), the award is considered the most important in the sector and recognizes energy distributors that have excelled in areas such as management quality, innovation, sustainability, customer evaluation and operational performance, among others. This year, companies from all regions of the country once again showed excellence in their practices and commitment to the consumer. The 2025 edition celebrates Abradee's 50th anniversary and brings together sector authorities, government representatives, regulatory agencies and business leaders.

Neoenergia Cosern: best in Brazil, in the Northeast and honorable mention for Health and Safety

Neoenergia Cosern, which serves around 1.6 million customers in Rio Grande do Norte, also received an honorable mention in Health and Safety, among companies with more than 500,000 consumers.

Neoenergia Elektro: best in the Southeast and in three other categories

Responsible for distributing energy to more than 3 million customers in part of the states of São Paulo and Mato Grosso do Sul, Neoenergia Elektro was also awarded in the Management Quality, Innovation Management and Operational Management categories among companies with more than 500,000 consumers. The distributor also came second in the national category.

Neoenergia Brasília: victory in Performance Evolution

The category evaluates the growth of distributors in indicators such as quality of energy supply, operational efficiency, team management, customer service and social and environmental responsibility. With 1.1 million customers in the Federal District, Neoenergia Brasília also stood out as a finalist in the North/Central-West category, ranking among the three best distributors in the region.
