Supported by Instituto Neoenergia, the Association of Parish Communities of Mata Escura and Calabetão de Salvador/Bahia (Acopamec), part of the Social Acceleration Program Impactô ​which fostered social organizations and social impact initiatives in Salvador, won the 16th edition of the Brasil CCBE Award (Brazil-Spain Chamber of Commerce). The NGO was praised in the category “Social Action" in acknowledgment of its activities towards helping society, on Tuesday (02/18), in Madrid, Spain.

Acopamec, in addition to being part of the Impactô program, also develops a partnership with Coelba in the project “Energia para Aprender" (Energy for Learning), in which it is responsible for teaching young electricians in Salvador. 

Together with Instituto Ekloos - largest Brazilian social accelerator institution - Instituto Neoenergia closes the first cycle of the Impactô project in Salvador, improving the lives of 2,145 children, adolescents and young adults. The project indirectly benefited over 10 thousand people in this region. 

The Brasil CCBE Award was held at the Cassino de Madrid, and attended by the Advisory Minister of Brazil in Spain, Adriano Silva Pucci, and the President of the Chamber of Commerce, José Gasset Loring. Iberdrola, controller company of Neoenergia​, maintains institutes and foundations in countries where it operates, which follow the same operation guidelines.
