Get to know the archipelago that was chosen for the Neoenergia Mais por Noronha project, which promotes renewable energy, electric mobility and public lighting with greater energy efficiency and sustainability.

The Fernando de Noronha archipelago is located in the state of Pernambuco (Brazil), about 545 km from the mainland coast. It is made up of 21 islands, rocks and islets, and 16 beaches, totaling an area of approximately 26 km². The main island is the only inhabited one in the group and is also called Fernando de Noronha, covering some 17 km².
Both terrestrial and marine, the region is considered to be of the highest ecological value - it is home to ICMBio and several conservation units, as well as being a UNESCOWorld Heritage Site.
Sustainable tourism is one of the main sources of local income.
A natural and sustainable paradise in Brazil
Fernando de Noronha is a destination that enchants visitors and locals alike with its paradisiacal beaches and crystal-clear waters. Understand why the archipelago is one of the most sought after by travelers in the country.
Sancho Bay
Internationally recognized as the best beach in the world for its unspoiled beauty and turquoise waters, Sancho Bay is surrounded by cliffs covered in native vegetation. It is accessed by a staircase between rocks, which preserves the environment and guarantees an exclusive experience. The calm, crystal-clear sea makes it the perfect place for snorkeling, revealing an impressive biodiversity of fish, turtles and corals. For those seeking ecotourism and natural contemplation, Sancho is the archipelago's definitive postcard.

Bay of Pigs
The Bay of Pigs is one of the most photographed beaches in Fernando de Noronha. Its natural pools formed between volcanic rocks and the breathtaking view of Morro Dois Irmãos is what most enchants its visitors. Access is restricted and the number of people visiting the site is controlled, which guarantees the preservation of marine life and the tranquillity of the environment. With its transparent waters and coral reefs, it is one of the best spots for observing tropical fish and contemplative diving. A real gem for those seeking sustainable tourism and exclusive experiences.
Praia do Leão and Cacimba do Padre
Praia do Leão is one of the largest and wildest beaches in Fernando de Noronha. Its name comes from a rock formation that resembles a lion's head, visible from the golden sand. It is one of the main nesting sites for sea turtles protected by the Tamar Project - access to which is controlled during the animals' reproductive period.
Cacimba do Padre, also known as the "surfer's paradise", offers the biggest waves in the archipelago, reaching up to five meters during the surfing season.

Located next to Morro Dois Irmãos, the beach combines unique beauty with adventure, hosting international competitions and being one of the best spots to watch the sunset in Noronha.
Both beaches are ideal for diving, surfing and observing the rich marine life.
Two Brothers Hill
Morro Dois Irmãos is Fernando de Noronha's most iconic postcard. The twin rock formations emerge from the sea in front of the Bay of Pigs, creating one of Brazil's best-known landscapes. It is possible to contemplate the hill from different angles - especially at sunset, when the colors of the sky enhance the scenery even more.
Remédios Fort
The Remédios Fort is Fernando de Noronha's main historical monument. The site, which was built in the 18th century by the Portuguese to protect the island from invasions, today offers an incredible panoramic view of Vila dos Remédios and the sea, and is one of the best spots to watch the sunset.

Tamar Project
Dedicated to the preservation of sea turtles, the Tamar Project is one of the most important bases in Brazil for the preservation of animals of this species. Located in Vila do Boldró, the center promotes environmental education, scientific research and activities for tourists, such as releasing hatchlings and lectures on marine ecosystems. The visit is a unique opportunity to learn about the local fauna and directly support sustainable tourism and ocean conservation.
Dolphin Lookout (Baía dos Golfinhos)
The Dolphin Lookout, also known as Dolphin Bay, is one of the most exciting spots in the archipelago. At dawn, you can see groups of spinner dolphins performing natural jumps and acrobatics in the sea. Access is via monitored ecological trails, guaranteeing the protection of the species and the preservation of the environment. The experience is unmissable for those looking for ecotourism, wildlife watching and direct contact with nature.

In addition to its exuberant nature, Fernando de Noronha stands out for its sustainable actions, visitor control and environmental policies. It is the perfect destination for those looking for ecotourism, adventure and environmental preservation in Brazil.
