Located in Rio do Fogo
(RN), Arizona I wind farm features 14 wind turbines with installed
capacity of 28MW. The farm was acquired through an auction held in 2010 and
started commercial operation on October 1, 2013.
The project contributes to
the diversification of Brazilian energy matrix, working in the search for
regional solutions from renewable sources of energy, with economic use of
available inputs and applied technologies. Generation is connected to the Extremoz
substation in the city of São Gonçalo do Amarante in RN and then supplied to
the National Interconnected System (SIN).
