Neoenergia Institute announces accredited projects from unified call for proposals
Pre-selected candidates will be asked to submit documentation in order to continue competing in the calls for proposals, which total investments of around R$35 million through federal and state incentive laws.
The Neoenergia Institute has just announced the results of the accreditation of the projects enrolled in the Call for Bids, which, for the first time, brings together three calls for bids. In this phase, initiatives from various locations in Brazil were pre-selected, including the Federal District and cities in Bahia, Pernambuco, Rio Grande do Norte, São Paulo and Mato Grosso do Sul, where Neoenergia serves around 17 million electricity distribution customers. The successful candidates will be called up until 2027. See the list of each public notice: Transforming Energy into Culture, Playing Together and Ilumina Social.
The Neoenergia Institute expects to invest around R$ 35 million by 2027, through federal and state incentive laws. Those shortlisted should pay attention to the next steps described in the Call for Proposals regulations, especially the documentation required and the deadlines for submission. In addition, the Neoenergia Institute will send detailed guidelines to all applicants representing non-profit organizations and institutions eligible to raise funds via tax incentives.
"The Neoenergia Institute's work shows the importance of private social investment for social, cultural and sporting development in various Brazilian regions, including those where the group is present. Our support is essential to help improve local quality of life, transforming the reality of the population involved", says Renata Chagas, CEO of the Neoenergia Institute.
Call for approved projects runs until 2027
It is important to note that the accreditation phase does not mean that projects will be hired immediately. Hiring is subject to budget availability, approval of the project under the respective incentive laws and internal validation of the projects. Those approved may be called upon until 2027. In addition to financial support, the organizations awarded the contract will be accompanied by specialists to develop the projects.
"The aim of the biannual call is to simplify the selection of projects so that interested candidates don't have to submit proposals every year.In this way, we can guarantee faster funding applications by accrediting projects between 2025 and 2027," explains Flávia Rocha, social projects supervisor at the Neoenergia Institute.
