Neoenergia and the Federal Government sign a partnership to offer training and job openings to those enrolled in CadÚnico
The company joins the Acredi no Primeiro Passo Program, through the Ministry of Development and Social Assistance, Family and Fight against Hunger
Neoenergia and the Ministry of Development and Social Assistance, Family and Fight against Hunger (MDS) signed, this Tuesday (10), in Brasilia, a protocol of intent to promote the socioeconomic inclusion of people enrolled in the Federal Government's Unified Register for Social Programs (CADÚnico), focusing on actions that assist the inclusion of socially vulnerable people in the labor market. With the initiative, the company joins the Believe in the First Step Program to promote employment opportunities and vacancies at the School of Electricians distributed in the Federal District and in the 18 states where the company operates in the country
.
“Once again, we reinforce our commitment to expand equal opportunities, promoting the development of programs that generate positive social impact in our territories of operation”, said Eduardo Capelastegui, president of Neoenergia. The executive attended the signing ceremony, which was also attended by the Vice President of Neoenergia, Solange Ribeiro, the CEO of Neoenergia Brasília, Frederico Candian, the Minister of Social Development, Wellington Dias, the Secretary of Socioeconomic Inclusion, Luiz Carlos Farias, and the Director of Support for Work Insertion, Saumíneo Silva.
Created to promote the socioeconomic inclusion of vulnerable people enrolled in CadÚnico, the Acredita no Primeiro Passo Program acts on three axes: qualification opportunities; entrepreneurship and employability. In 2024, the total number of people enrolled in CADÚnico exceeded 93 million people, according to data from the MDS. The program is aimed, in particular, at people with disabilities, women, young people, blacks, and traditional and riverside populations
.
“Nothing more important than ensuring better conditions for the professional qualification of Brazilians. And the Neoenergia School of Electricians is a real proof of how to guarantee employability conditions.
We celebrated this agreement focusing on CadÚnico, where the people who need it most have access to these opportunities ”, celebrated Minister Wellington Dias.

The memorandum of intent provides for the disclosure of vacancies for the Neoenergia School of Electricians, aimed at generating employment and income and, especially, the inclusion of women with classes exclusively for women. This year, the initiative was recognized as a global example of “Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion” by the World Economic Forum. A pioneer in the Brazilian electricity sector, the School of Electricians has trained more than a thousand women in all distributors, 70% of whom were hired by the company. The courses are free and conducted in partnership with the National Industrial Learning Service (Senai), in the concession areas of the group's five distributors: Neoenergia Brasília (DF), Neoenergia Coelba (BA), Neoenergia Cosern (RN), Neoenergia Elektro (SP and MS) and Neoenergia Pernambuco
