In order to guarantee a continuous power supply during the exam, utilities have scheduled preventive inspections and deployed on-call teams on exam days

With exams scheduled for November 3 and 10, the National High School Exam (ENEM) will bring together thousands of students in search of a place in higher education.

To guarantee the quality of the electricity supply during the exam, Neoenergia's five distributors have planned a series of actions. Preventive inspections are being carried out, as well as an increase in staff and corrections to the circuit networks supplying power to the exam venues in the regions served by Neoenergia Brasília (DF), Neoenergia Coelba (BA), Neoenergia Cosern (RN), Neoenergia Elektro (SP/MS) and Neoenergia Pernambuco (PE).

The distributors have also set up a special scheme for emergency action in the event of an interruption in the power supply. To this end, on the days of the contest, all the concessionaires will operate on a special on-call basis, with an increase of around 30% in the number of field technicians. In total, professionals will be mobilized, including engineers, technicians and electricians, who will work strategically during the exams.

In addition, the integrated operations centers, which accompany and coordinate the technical teams, will also increase the number of personnel to prevent occurrences. There will be real-time monitoring of the electricity system and weather conditions to anticipate actions in the event of adverse situations caused by bad weather. Finally, there will be no scheduled shutdowns at the venues that could affect the application of the tests. The call center services will also be on special duty to speed up possible assistance.
