For the first time, the awards will exclusively celebrate black women who transform communities through art and culture

The Inspirar 2025 Award is reaching its most anticipated moment: next Thursday (27), the 16 winners will be announced at the awards ceremony, which will be broadcast live on the official Inspirar Award YouTube channel , starting at 5pm. Now in its fifth edition, the initiative recognizes female protagonists in the field of art and culture in various Brazilian regions. For the first time, this year's award will be exclusively for black women.

This year, popular participation registered a record with almost 58,000 votes. The Inspirar 2025 Award is an initiative of the Neoenergia Institute, sponsored by Neoenergia and in technical partnership with Baluarte, through the National Culture Incentive Law.

"The ceremony will celebrate the trajectories of women who express the power of art as an instrument of resistance, belonging, social mobilization and collective imagination. This recognition reinforces the role of women as a transformative force, capable of generating socio-economic development and inspiring change throughout the country," says Renata Chagas, CEO of the Neoenergia Institute.

The result reflects the national mobilization around the initiative, which in 2025 adopted, for the first time, the exclusive focus on black women (cis and trans), recognizing cultural leaders who impact and transform their territories through art, creation and community action. The award reaffirms the commitment to SDG 5 - Gender Equality, within the framework of the UN's 2030 Agenda, promoting cultural diversity, access and reducing inequalities.

In all, the Inspirar 2025 Award will distribute R$169,000 in resources to initiatives led by black women, in two categories: Women, for leaders who work as individuals (13 awards of R$10,000 each); and Collectives, for leaders of non-formalized cultural collectives (3 awards of R$13,000 each).

A cycle of transformation

Inspired by the concept of the Infinite Cycle to Inspire, the prize symbolizes the continuous journey of black women who use art as a tool for creation and social change. The theme translates into a symbolic sequence of acts - inspire, create, resist, realize, empower, multiply, enchant and dream - representing the permanent movement of renewal that emerges from the cultural practices carried out by these women.
