Neoenergia's distributors work hard to guarantee the supply of electricity with quality and safety during Carnival.
To certify the continuity of the power supply, the utility replaced about 13 KM of electrical wiring and installed more than 160 new poles and transformers on the festive circuits.
The distributor put together an action plan for the safety of the revelers with teams that are ready daily. In addition, another 100 extra teams will reinforce the front line and with them 52 controllers, engineers and field supervisors monitoring the system 24 hours a day.
48 carnival circuit locations were mapped in Rio Grande do Norte. Among the planned actions are the implementation of 115 new kilometers of power distribution networks, installation of 152 lightning rods and 56 new transformers. In addition, 3,600 kilometers of energy distribution and transmission networks underwent maintenance.
The distributor guarantees continuity and quality in the energy supply when building more than 2,000 kilometers of network inspected with thermal imagers. The equipment makes it possible to identify situations that cannot be seen with the naked eye, thus making it more efficient to resolve possible power interruptions.
During the Carnival celebrations, Neoenergia Brasília prepared a special program, with an increase of 30% in the number of electricians in the field. Field technicians will work in direct connection with the Integrated Operations Center, operating 24 hours a day for a possible emergency restoration of the electricity supply.
