Neoenergia's distributors are working hard to guarantee a quality and safe electricity supply during Carnival.

To ensure continuity in the power supply, the concessionaire replaced around 13 kilometers of electrical wiring and installed more than 160 new poles and transformers on the festival circuits.

The distributor has put together an action plan for the safety of revelers, with teams on standby every day. In addition, another 100 extra teams will reinforce the front line and together with them 52 controllers, including engineers and field supervisors monitoring the system 24 hours a day.

48 carnival circuit locations in Rio Grande do Norte have been mapped. Among the actions planned are the implementation of 115 new kilometers of power distribution networks, the installation of 152 lightning rods and 56 new transformers. In addition, 3,600 kilometers of power distribution and transmission networks have undergone maintenance.

The distributor guarantees the continuity and quality of its energy supply by having more than 2,000 kilometers of network inspected with thermal imagers. The equipment makes it possible to identify situations that cannot be seen with the naked eye, thus making it more efficient to resolve possible power interruptions.

During the Carnival festivities, Neoenergia Brasília has prepared a special program, which includes a 30% increase in the team of electricians in the field. The field technicians will work in direct connection with the Integrated Operations Center, operating 24 hours a day for a possible emergency restoration of the electricity supply.
