Neoenergia invests in modernization of the distribution network substations in São Paulo
Keeping its commitment with the development of the cities in which it operates, Neoenergia, through its energy distributor Elektro, completed in January the process of expanding and modernizing equipment of Macaubal and Angatuba substations. In the same month, the company started the works for Francisco Morato I substation modernization, all of them making up Elektro's distribution network.
Aiming to continuously supply energy with quality to its customers, Neoenergia has invested to increase power at the substations, generating higher availability of energy for use.
At Macaubal substation, expansion works installed two new 12.5 MVA transformers. In Angatuba, a transformer was replaced and a brand new 12.5 MVA transformer was installed, as well as two new 34.5 kV feeders.
After the completion of works, Francisco Morato I substation will also increase its capacity, from 52.05 MVA to 66.6 MVA. A new 25/33 MVA transformer will be installed, to operate at 138kV, and one more feeder for energy distribution at 13.8kV.
Currently, such works are already delivering higher quality in distribution for more than 25 thousand customers, a number that will grow to 85 thousand after completion of the implementation in Francisco Morato.
The equipment modernization and capacity increase at the substations is a part of Neoenergia's mission to provide an increasingly improved and reliable service in regions in which it operates. “This action reinforces Elektro's commitment with people well-being, as it provides a more robust electric system, poised for growth", says José Ferraz, Elektro's manager.
