In a gesture of solidarity, employees of the Neoenergia Group (Holding, Coelba, Celpe, Cosern and Elektro) donated over five tons of food to institutions that carry out social projects in Rio de Janeiro, Salvador, Recife, Natal and Campinas. The food was delivered last April 30 and should benefit over 650 children and adolescents from five important social projects. 

Items such as milk, tomato extract, chocolate, juice, crackers, pasta, oil, cornmeal, wheat flour, gelatine, peas and corn were gathered, amounting to over five tons. The donations were made during a week and are part of the Volunteer actions of Iberdrola, the Spanish controlling group of Neoenergia. Operation Quilo took place simultaneously in the countries where Iberdrola is present. ​
