Neoenergia has been awarded the Pro-Ethics Company Seal for the sixth consecutive time
Neoenergia, a company of the Iberdrola Group, was awarded the “Pro-Ethics Company” seal for the 2025–2026 edition for its best practices in promoting integrity, preventing corruption, and adopting measures to foster a more ethical, transparent, and integrity-driven environment in the private sector and in its relations with the public sector. This is the sixth consecutive time the company has received this seal, awarded by the Office of the Comptroller General (CGU) to companies that serve as models of integrity in the country. In this edition, NC Energia, the group’s retail arm, was also recognized for the first time.
The announcement was made during Corporate Integrity Day, at an event held in Brasília on Wednesday (the 1st), attended by CGU Minister Vinícius Marques de Carvalho and CGU Secretary for Private Sector Integrity Marcelo Pontes Vianna. Representing Neoenergia at the ceremony were João Paulo Rodrigues, Director of Institutional and Government Relations, and Silvia Galindo, Compliance Superintendent. David Benavent, Executive Commercial Director, and José Elyd’angellys, Compliance Officer, represented the group’s energy trading company.
“Receiving the Pro-Ethics Company Seal for the sixth consecutive time reflects the strength of a corporate culture based on integrity, transparency, and responsibility. This result reinforces our ongoing commitment to the highest ethical and governance standards, with increasingly principled conduct in our operations and in our relationships with all our stakeholders,” said Eduardo Capelastegui, CEO of Neoenergia.
The Award
The Pro-Ethics Seal is an initiative of the CGU that seeks to make the Brazilian corporate environment more ethical, transparent, and characterized by integrity, especially in relations with the public administration. In addition, the award aims to raise awareness among companies about their role in combating corruption and to recognize best practices in promoting integrity and good governance. Participating companies that meet the eligibility requirements have their integrity programs evaluated by a specialized team.
