Father's energy
On the second Sunday in August, families celebrate Father's Day. It's a time for reminiscing about the stories, adventures and lessons learned between fathers and their children. To pay tribute to this day, learn about the story of Rodrigo Pelingeiro, manager of the Wind Farms of Rio Grande do Norte, who, as well as carrying out his role as a professional, fulfills this mission, which is fatherhood, so well.
The energy of unconditional love
What parent wouldn't be proud to be able to present their workplace to a child who is still in their early years? Showing him what his day-to-day life is like, the activities he carries out and all the tools he uses to perform his daily tasks, especially when that place is in the middle of an ecological paradise.
Employee Rodrigo Perlingeiro, who is the Operation & Maintenance manager for the Wind Farms in Rio Grande do Norte, had this opportunity. He introduced his 8-year-old son Pedro to the Rio do Fogo wind farm, Neoenergia's first, which has been in operation since 2006. "It was a remarkable experience that will stay in his memory forever," he recalls. The enterprise has 62 wind turbines 75 meters high and generates clean energy for thousands of people.
According to Rodrigo, the visit made the little boy want to work there. "He was delighted, he had an explosion of joy, being able to see a wind turbine up close. Now he always says he wants to work in a wind farm," says his proud father.

At Neoenergia since 2017, Rodrigo has extensive experience as an engineer in the company's projects. He has worked on hydroelectric plants, thermoelectric plants and wind and solar assets. After this journey, he took on the role of manager of the wind farms in Rio Grande do Norte, a new professional opportunity. "Leading people is a great challenge, but also a valuable opportunity for growth."
Whether at work or at home, Rodrigo tries to play both roles with a lot of love, commitment and responsibility. For his son Pedro, he is dedicated to teaching the importance of honesty, responsibility and caring for the world around him. "I want him to grow up knowing that he can make a difference, even with small gestures. Iwanthim to know that he was raised with respect, affection and the freedom to dream big," she says.
Rodrigo will soon receive another blessing in his life: the birth of his daughter Laura, due in November. And it is in this atmosphere of renewal, love and protection that the executive will celebrate Father's Day with his family.
"I want every father to recognize himself as a source of strength, affection and presence. May we never underestimate the power of a hug, an attentive listen or an 'I'm here'. Being a father is more than providing, it's inspiring, welcoming and growing together. May we leave our children not just memories, but values that will sustain them when we are far away. May the love we give today become the courage they will have tomorrow. Happy Father's Day!"
