Rayane became a Paralympic champion by winning the 400 meters in the T13 class (visually impaired) at the Paris 2024 Games. As well as the gold medal, the athlete broke the world record for the competition, a mark that had stood since 1995. She also brought Brazil silver in the 100 meters in the T13 class.

The athlete was born in Maranhão and grew up in the Federal District, where she entered paralympic sport in 2015 and built a successful career.

At 29, the runner has a big dream: to be the first Brazilian paralympic athlete to compete in Olympic athletics events. With the support of Neoenergia, she is improving her training on the athletics track in her quest to qualify for the Olympic Games.
