The athlete is one of the best competitors on the planet and is a world reference for women in kitesurfing. Six-time kitesurfing world champion Bruna Kajiya is the first woman to perform the "Backside 315" maneuver, a highly complex performance in the sport.

The kitesurfer, who today is a powerful voice in the fight for gender equality in sports, felt a connection with the sea from an early age. Since childhood, her relationship with water has earned her the nickname "little fish". When she was in the classroom, the future athlete would watch kitesurfers from the school window in the sea off Ilhabela, São Paulo. Bruna convinced someone to teach her the sport and has never left it since. For her, being on a kitesurf board means being free, feeling the wind on her face and the sound of the sea.

"I'm very happy to be working with a brand that fits in so well with my lifestyle. I live in the sea and at the speed of the wind. It's nature that provides everything I need to practice kitesurfing. I believe in the power of these resources to ensure a world that is increasingly aligned with sustainable and innovative practices."

Curiosities

What doesn't come out of your bag/backpack on a daily basis?

Sunscreen, a bottle of water, energy drinks, lots and lots of different snacks.
I also take a bikini, headphones and a change of workout clothes.

Do you have any superstitions before a race?

These days I don't exactly have a superstition, I have my ritual before competing that helps me stay focused and feel good.
I arrive early, take a good look at the wind and the sea, do my warm-up, listen to my music and do my breathing.

What's your favorite series/film?

In the area of documentaries I love Free Solo, it shows determination and excellence in sport.
Animated films, Moana.
Films in general, the Harry Potter series.

How did sport come into your life?

The sea has always been part of my life. I grew up between São Sebastião and Ilhabela and started swimming and surfing as a child. At school, I would watch the kites passing in the sea from the classroom window and I was fascinated. That's when the wind came into my life to stay.
