The first Brazilian woman to win Olympic gold in open water, Ana Marcela Cunha from Bahia has the support of Neoenergia to achieve her goals. The marathon swimmer, born in Salvador, Bahia, is considered the greatest open water swimmer of all time and has collected 14 medals at the World Championships, seven of which are gold.
The Neoenergia team ambassador is also a representative of the International Swimming Federation's Council for the Defense of the Sea(World Aquatics) and the Brazilian Olympic Committee's(COB) Sustainability Ambassador, with a focus on cleaning and depolluting seas and rivers.
