Entrepreneurship

The girl who saw problems and didn't want to stop impacting lives.

Do you know someone who has a lot of experience, knowledge, a prominent place in their profession and yet is thirsty to learn, network, and exchange knowledge (she believes that “Those who have the information must make it available”)? This is Ivanna da Silva at the peak of her 53 years. Journalist, executive cultural producer, public manager, and specialist in Cultural Management, she has 33 years of professional life and her curriculum includes important names and projects: Carlinhos Brown, Gilberto Gil, the Pracatum School, the Tá Tá Rebocado social project, the Guetho Square cultural space, the Ilha dos Sapos studio, the Bahia State Secretariat of Culture, the Pelourinho Cultural, the Ondazul Foundation, the Camarote Expresso 2222. And more than that: Ivanna has been collaborating to project Bahia in the world through festivals, projects, and various events.

It all started when she was still a teenager, she became aware of the social problems affecting Candeal, which, at that time, barely appeared on the map of Salvador. Yes, the problems were Ivanna's biggest motivators. Since that time, she believed that she would be able to solve them. She just didn't expect that they would continue to exist and that new problems would arise. What to do? Connections to solve them, after all, “entrepreneurship comes when you encounter a problem”. And that's what happened. The problems then became challenges.

Ivanna is very inspired by Gil, who, at the age of 77, is still active and concerned with the causes he raised. Art, culture, and social motivate this woman who discovered entrepreneurship and encourages others to do business, and she is also part of the entrepreneurship bank at the Salvador University (Unifacs).

The executive producer wishes a more pleasant life for everyone, more safety for children, even more recognition and care for Candeal, a vibrant neighborhood in the capital of Bahia, which is a true cell of the world that exudes musicality, art in every corner, and love for the community.

It's just that your motivation goes beyond that. Ivanna says that she has a 17-year-old daughter and that she needs to set good examples. Impacting lives with powerful projects and measurable results also makes the producer's eyes shine. And that's what she wants to continue doing: transforming society to build a better future for her daughter and for the next generations.
