Neoenergia is committed to creating a positive impact in the communities where it operates, promoting sustainable development and the well-being of local communities close to its projects. Social and environmental actions cover several areas, including education, environment, culture, and quality of life.
Among the initiatives, the following stand out:
- Sustainable education: Investment in educational programs that promote environmental awareness and skills development in local communities. This includes forming environmental education committees and supporting sustainable schools.
- Environmental preservation: Commitment to UN sustainability goals and Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Actions are carried out to conserve biodiversity and protect the environment, such as the recovery of degraded areas.

Festival Kizomba
Saiba tudo sobre a edição de 2024 do festival que é uma tradição regional e aconteceu na Comunidade Remanescente Quilombola (CRQ) Sumidouro. Foram 2 dias de reforço à identidade e cultura do povo quilombola, envolvendo tradições da capoeira e celebrações dos projetos realizados pela Neoenergia no território.
Prêmio Amigos da Mata Atlântica
Em novembro de 2023, a Neoenergia recebeu o prêmio de “Empresa amiga da Mata Atlântica” por contribuir para a conservação e o uso sustentável da Mata Atlântica, por meio de ações de apoio às ações da Reserva da Biosfera da Mata Atlântica – RBMA, vinculada ao Programa MaB (Man and the Biosphere) da UNESCO, fortalecendo suas ações em prol dos Objetivos do Desenvolvimento Sustentável da ONU e com os Objetivos Globais para 2050 e diretamente vinculado à Política de Biodiversidade do Grupo Iberdrola.
