The partnership between Neoenergia and the Brazilian Olympic Committee (COB) combines sustainability and sports development to amplify the positive impact on society. Signed in 2024 and renewed through 2028, the agreement supports athletes, events, and initiatives that promote sports participation across different regions of the country, with a particular focus on strengthening women’s sports and expanding equal opportunities in sports. In addition, the partnership contributes to the decarbonization of the Time Brasil Training Center by supplying 100% renewable energy. The initiative reinforces both institutions’ commitment to innovation, sustainability, and building a lasting legacy for Brazilian sports.

Neoenergia and the Brazilian Olympic Committee Take Gold in Clean Energy

Clean Energy at the Time Brasil Training Center

The partnership between the two brands focuses on supplying 100% renewable electricity on the open market to the Time Brasil Training Center in Rio de Janeiro. As a leader in the country’s energy transition, Neoenergia supports the COB in its sustainability goals and in reducing CO2 emissions.

In one year, the partnership has already prevented the emission of approximately 108.3 metric tons of CO₂— an amount equivalent to 2,317 flights between Rio de Janeiro and São Paulo—reinforcing its commitment to sustainability and reducing its carbon footprint.

“The partnership with the COB reinforces two values that are fundamental to Neoenergia: enabling decarbonization through clean energy, and supporting women’s sports in Brazil as a way to promote equal opportunities. We are committed to continuing to expand the electrification of the economy, advancing the energy transition, and strengthening the role of women in sports and society.”

Neoenergia: Sponsor of the 2025 Youth Games

Committed to developing women’s sports in Brazil, Neoenergia is sponsoring the competition for the first time. This year’s edition, held in Brasília, features a record number of athletes, the majority of whom are women. Interactive activities are planned for the championship to encourage efficient electricity consumption and raise awareness about the importance of sustainability in everyday life.

The Youth Games are held annually by the Brazilian Olympic Committee (COB) and bring together the top talents in Brazilian sports for a high-level competition. Held since 2000, the event plays an essential role in discovering and developing young athletes, in addition to contributing to the training of future sports professionals in Brazil.

The initiative featured sports and educational activities focused on Olympic sports, energy efficiency, and sustainable innovation, and included the participation of Neoenergia ambassadors Mirelle Leite and Celine Bispo, who shared their personal journeys and inspired the young participants.

Leadership in Supporting Women’s Sports

This sponsorship solidifies Neoenergia’s leadership as the company that is currently recognized in the energy sector as the one that most strongly supports women’s sports in Brazil. Funds from the partnership will be allocated to the COB for initiatives based on two pillars: gender equality and sustainability.
The partnership aligns with the company’s commitments to strengthen the role of women in society and promote sustainability in the country. In addition, it aims to advance gender equality—both by creating a workplace with more positions for women and by promoting women’s sports—thereby further strengthening the presence of promising top athletes.

Thus, with the determination of an Olympic athlete, Neoenergia steadfastly pursues this goal of taking Brazilian women’s sports to the top of the podium.

Program for Young Athletes

Celine Bispo, the South American junior swimming champion, competed in the Paris Games through the Brazilian Olympic Committee’s program for young athletes.

In 2024, the Brazilian Olympic Committee launched an unprecedented initiative, inviting promising athletes to a unique experience at the Paris Olympics. A select group of young people had the opportunity to experience the Olympic environment, soak up the atmosphere of the Games, and draw inspiration for future competitions. Swimmer Celine Bispo, a member of Team Neoenergia, was one of the athletes selected for the program. This recognition further reinforces Neoenergia’s commitment to women’s sports and gender equality.
