This year’s edition, held in Brasília, features a record number of athletes, the majority of whom are women. For the championship, interactive activities are planned to encourage efficient electricity consumption and raise awareness about the importance of sustainability in daily life.
The Youth Games are held annually by the Brazilian Olympic Committee (COB) and bring together the top talents in Brazilian sports for a high-level competition. Held since 2000, the event plays an essential role in discovering and developing young athletes, in addition to contributing to the training of future sports professionals in Brazil.

Neoenergia + COB = Sustainability
Clean Energy at the Time Brasil Training Center
The partnership between the two brands is focused on supplying 100% renewable electricity on the open market by the end of the year to the Time Brasil Training Center in Rio de Janeiro. A leader in the country’s energy transition, Neoenergia supports the COB in its sustainability goals and in reducing CO2 emissions.

Leadership in Supporting Women’s Sports
The sponsorship reinforces Neoenergia’s leadership as the company that is currently recognized in the energy sector as the one that most supports women’s sports in Brazil. Funds from the partnership will be allocated to the COB for initiatives based on two pillars: gender equality and sustainability.
The partnership aligns with the company’s commitments to strengthen the role of women in society and promote sustainability in the country. In addition, it aims to advance gender equality, both by creating a workplace with more positions for women and by supporting women’s sports, thereby increasingly strengthening the presence of promising top athletes.
A historic moment for gender equality in sports
The partnership with the Brazilian Olympic Committee came at a landmark moment in the history of Brazilian Olympic sports in 2024. For the first time, the number of female athletes on Team Brazil exceeded that of male athletes at an Olympic Games, with women accounting for 55% of the delegation.
Neoenergia, committed to the development of women’s sports in Brazil, supports women across various disciplines and encourages their paths to championship success. The Brazilian Women’s National Soccer Team received the company’s support from 2021 to 2024, in addition to sponsorship of the national women’s soccer championship, which was renamed the Neoenergia Women’s Brasileirão during this period.

Program for Young Athletes

Celine Bispo, the South American junior swimming champion, attended the Paris Games through the Brazilian Olympic Committee’s program for young athletes.
In 2024, the Brazilian Olympic Committee launched an unprecedented initiative, inviting promising athletes to a unique experience at the Paris Olympics. A select group of young people had the opportunity to experience the Olympic environment, soak up the atmosphere of the Games, and draw inspiration for future competitions. Swimmer Celine Bispo, a member of Team Neoenergia, was one of the participants in the program. This recognition further reinforces Neoenergia’s commitment to women’s sports and gender equality.
