Social and environmental Diagnosis of the River Jequitinhonha’s Watershed

Neoinvest – Neoenergia, Eletrobras Furnas and Cemig Group are performing the Social and environmental Diagnosis of the Jequitinhonha’s River Watershed.

The purpose of the diagnosis is the analysis of the social and environmental situation of the current watershed and to subsidize the next stage of the studies that assess the impacts caused by inventoried utilizations, in order to obtain a vision of the set of effects in each one of the sub areas that extrapolate their limits.

The products of such study consist in the characterization of the current situation of the River Jequitinhonha’s Watershed, by presenting the Social and Environmental Diagnosis of the watershed with its compartmentalization according to each component-synthesis, in addition to the main indicators, sensibilities and the Identification of the main conflicts.
