PCH SÃtio Grande was built on River das Fêmeas, municipality of São Desidério, state of Bahia, and has installed power of 25 MW, with average guaranteed power output of 19.62 MW. The entire energy produced by PCH is commercialized with Vale do Rio Doce S/A. For construction and operation of this PCH, Neoenergia founded a new controller, SPE Bahia PCH I. It started operating in October 2010, and the project’s total investment was of approximately R$ 169 million, out of which R$ 100.8 million was funded by BNDES.
